San Diego Ballpark District

PROJECT DETAILS

The project consisted of a number of actions focused on the construction of a new ballpark for the San Diego Padres and redevelopment of the surrounding area within the Centre City East District of the Centre City Community Plan in downtown San Diego.

Ian Gill, one of Highland’s Principals was selected by the Centre City Development Corporation (CCDC), the City of San Diego’s Redevelopment Agency, to provide Project Management Services for the 26-block Downtown Ballpark Project which includes the home of the San Diego Padres, and the ancillary development surrounding the ballpark site. Mr. Gill was engaged to coordinate the activities of CCDC Departments and liaison with the Ballpark District Master Developer and the myriad of consultants involved in this $1.2 billion project during the November 1998 - April 2004 Project Development and Construction timeframe.
